In a press conference which took place on Friday (09.12.2011), Mourinho chose not to attend. Instead, he sent his assistant, Aitor Karanka, to ask and answer with reporters.
Karanka mention, Mourinho's absence is not unusual. Moreover, he had several times had to attend a press conference to replace the boss.
"I have more than 30 times to attend the press conference. What was the message delivered by the same boss and the player I am saying that we have also the same," said Karanka.
Mourinho's attitude is actually not strange, considering his character is "quirky". Guardiola also felt there was no problem with what was done by The Special One.
"I chose to like this.'s Not us who should be the center of attention, but the players on the field the most important," Guardiola said at Reuters.
